Milly Molly Mandy and Billy Blunt

These were favourite bedtime stories when I was growing up. I felt like I knew my way around this gentle country village, with the help of the beautifully-drawn map at the beginning. How I longed to live at the Nice White Cottage with the Thatched Roof (where Milly Molly Mandy lives) and shop at Mr Smale the Grocer’s and Mrs Hubble the Baker’s. Milly-Molly-Mandy, Billy Blunt and Little Friend Susan get up to all sorts of fun, like riding a horse, making toffee and playing innocent pranks on villagers, always with a warm heart and plenty of kindness.
